We had Open House at school and Stephanie was Clara Barton. There were many others like Walt Disney, Harriet Beecher Stowe, Stonewall Jackson, And Jackie Robinson. The kids were a riot. After going through most of the classes, we stayed to watch the production of Peter Pan put on by the Jr High Class. The kids had a wonderful time and it really was rather good.
Today is a quiet day as we try to catch up on much needed rest. Dad is working at the golf course. Anthony turned 5 this week so we will be having his cake tonight. Working on school, Kindergarten for him, as he will probably be here for quite a while!. Carlos is doing well. We had his Family meeting this past week, actually the evening of FJ's birthday. Looks like he will be in the home of a family member, with his sister, in a month or two. Aunt Evelyn is a very nice lady and is one who will care greatly for these kids, I believe. She is older and will have her hands full with Carlos, but I'm praying things will go well for him. Maybe a bit better than they did for Anthony!.. Apollo is Great! He is such a love. He is cooing and smiling all the, ok, most of the time. He is grabbing for things and trying to crawl, if you can believe that. At 4 months old he is more advanced or doing more things than one would expect! We have a meeting with his Social worker this coming week to see where things stand as far as placement in a preadoptive home. If it isn't done soon, the chance will be lost and he will be another one stuck in the system. Just pray that the conversation goes well and we can get information to move things forward. We love these little guys and pray each day that they will do in the coming months and years.
