Luke spent the day at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) yesterday. He was doing a food challenge to see if he was still allergic to eggs. They put increasing amounts of egg powder in chocolate pudding as long as he didn't have any reaction. His final test was to eat 2 scrambled eggs and then we waited for 2 1/2 hours to make sure he didn't react (hives, swelling, throat closing, etc). While we were there, Pat Burrell from the
World Champion Phillies (had to throw that in there) was visiting kids at the hospital and Luke got to go see him. He got a signed card and a picture. And then to top off his amazing day - he passed the challenge and is no longer allergic to eggs. He has to wait 24 from the test time to eat eggs, so tonight for dinner we're having French toast, scrambled eggs, omeletes and any other eggy food that he wants to try. So we are thanking the Lord for healing and for the extra special day He gave to Luke.
The girls are working on their hill..... the driveway is beginning to get cluttered with all the remaining loose branches from the ice storm.
